City of Kingston launch My Community Life

My Community Life website

The next time Kingston residents want to promote their community group, workshop or social activity they need look no further than My Community Life which was recently launched by the City of Kingston.

My Community Life is a simple and effective online resource that allows community groups to promote their events, activities and recruit volunteers.

Valued Community Services

For residents, it’s a way to discover local events including yoga classes, recreational sports competitions and skills workshops. Local organisations can increase their memberships, something that is particularly important to groups with limited resources for marketing and community outreach.

To connect with groups, browse activities or offer to help the community all you have to do is scroll through the page. In the mood for something in particular? The powerful search will help you find exactly what you’re looking for.

For the people, by the people

Delivering relevant information to communities can be challenging. The project received funding from the State Government of Victoria with the express purpose of improving awareness of Kingston’s active community culture by revitalising their out-dated community directory.

Adopting a user-generated content approach ensures that all information on the website is provided by residents for residents. Once they are registered users can create their own profile and take ownership of their event pages, updating the information as often as required.

Resources such as event dates, maps, contact details and even relevant documents (flyers, information packs, etc.) ensure the visitors have all the information they need, and social media links helps them make new friends with the click of a button.

Seamless solves the challenges of local digital government. To find out how you can use SeamlessCMS to deliver a feature rich and valued website, get in contact with us.
